Still have no idea why the old one wouldn't construct, though. If you've read this, I believe you'll understand that I don't have a fuckton of buildings. H) I don't have any expansion, this was in the "city centre" of my colonial age town. And again, a single office should be able to build at least one simple construction within 6 months. However, effectivity of the building was still 100 (125 on max budget). G) They were constantly doing something else (doing nothing that is), that's the point. And I don't think there's a shortcut to a site across the street. Didn't have any traffic jams with only 140 residents. I believe one office should be enough to finish at least one construction in less than 6 months.į) Again, just started so there wasn't much to fill the roads with. Checked again, still the caseĮ) Just started, so only have 1. Tried maximum, didn't workĬ) Tried everything, but even a single construction on high priority across the street took foreverĭ) Mentioned in the original post that the construction site was connected to a road. But you probably have fuckton of buildings and too few construction workers.ī) Budget was on normal. Summary: if you did all of this and it wasnt built within 6 months (whatever it was), then remove the building and place it again. Have 2-3 near your latest expansion and demolish the ones in your city centre (just keep one there) and make sure the budget is on max (just like teamsters). H) The construction office is very cheap, I tend to buy them instantly (its like 2k of cash, 4k if you build it instantly) and it always fills instantly with illiterates. but it can also be solved by making more offices closer to the construction. G) workers could be doing something else, if your effectivity is lower, put some good managers there. I have still no idea what caused the problem, though.ĭ) road between two buildings (make sure (twice) they are connected to the road, especially the construction)į) the roads could be full of nonsense, make more roads, shortcuts. The new office is working just fine, so I destroyed the old one (which was still doing practically nothing). Eventually they come back for another single cart.ĮDIT 2: I managed to solve the problem by building a new construction office. After they've driven their cart back to the office, they take a long break, visit the tavern, church or just wander around. Anyone having the same problem? Or better, anyone that knows a solution?ĮDIT: After following some workers a little longer, I found out that they tend to do only one job. Building stuff is taking ages and I don't have that much time on my mandate. I never had this problem when I played the vanilla campaign or a sandbox game and yes, the construction sites are connected to a road. Fired all the workers once, increased budget to maximum, but nothing seems to help. The rest is just walking around or sitting at home. I just purchased the Waterborne expansion on PS4 and started the campaign and all of a sudden, only 2 or 3 out of the 8 construction workers are actually constructing.
